Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan are both famous leaders. They are remembered throughout the globe due to their authentic and unique leadership skills, which they used to conquer multitudes and build empires. Although the two leaders have a lot of standard features, they equally have a set of characteristics that make them entirely different and distinct from each other.

This essay will discuss the similarities and differences between Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan.

Both Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan led battalions of well-trained soldiers; they conquered a significant amount of land in different parts of the world. However, the motivating factor was common for both Alexander and Genghis- their fathers died at the hands of another. Moreover, both Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan advocated for revolutions about education in their regions during the revolts (Linde, 2017).

In addition to this, both Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan used brutal tactics and methods by slaughtering innocent individuals to acquire their empires.

As much as Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan have in common, there are many differences between the two heroes. It is because Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan conquered different parts across the globe and had different strategies.

Genghis Khan began building his army on his own from the ground and thus considered a humble beginning. At the same time, on the other side, Alexander the Great inherited all his army from his father and, therefore, didn’t have any struggles assembling it (Stoneman, 2004). Moreover, although Genghis Khan had a strong and well-equipped army that conquered a vast land, Alexander is always considered the hero who conquered almost the entire world.

Khan had over a hundred children when he died at the age of 65, while Alexander did not have any kids by the time he died at the age of 35.

Although both Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan have a lot of differences between them, it is impossible to ignore these brave warriors’ existence and their essential contribution to the history of the globe.
